Meet the Authors


This blog is a presentation of our case study into LinkedIn's success at capitalizing on trends in social media selling to increase their revenue. We are three postgraduate students at Curtin University in Perth, Australia. This case study is part of an assignment for our Internet Commerce and Consumers course. Julia Buchholz | 31


I completed my Vocational Education and Training in Media Production and Publishing in 2005 and have worked in Business Development for digital- and print- media businesses ever since. In 2012 I completed a Diploma of Advertising at Central Institute of Technology in Perth followed by a European Certificate in Interactive Marketing in Munich, Germany. I'm specialized in digital business development, advertising, online marketing strategy and project management for direct marketing and CRM campaigns. The postgraduate studies at Curtin University enhance my skills and passion for Social Media and the fast changing internet industry.


Olumayowa Damilola Omotoso(David)| 24


I completed my undergraduate studies at Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Information Technology degree in Feb 2014. My passion includes computers, travelling networking and web development. My passion for Internet and social media communication reflects in my everyday activities.


Robyn Beattie | 21

I completed my undergrad in Media and Communications at the University of Cape Town in South Africa at the end of 2013. My academic strengths lie in research and writing and I'm interested in all things social media and online communications. I think now is an incredibly poignant time, both academically and socially, to be studying the Internet and analysing both its recent history and its future.
